Feature requests:

  • Display album title.
  • Add option to sort by album, then by track number within each album.
  • Add the ability to add an entire album to playlist in one tap instead of adding each song individually. Maybe with a long tap or something.
  • In search results, it shows a box when you tap a song to add it to the playlist. It should remove the most recent instance of that song from the playlist on a double tap. One tap = add song. Double tap = remove song.
  • Start caching the next song as soon as the current song is done caching. This will help with lag at the beginning of songs when connections are not super stable.
  • Add ability for program to recognize the phone's download speed and pause playback at the beginning of a new song until it's buffered enough to not stop halfway through a song.
  • If a song fails to start, try again. If it fails again, move to the next song on the playlist.
  • Add option of repeating the playlist after it's done.

Additional feature requests:

  • When saving a playlist, show a list of previously saved lists so you can select one and save over it. Right now you have to type out the whole thing.
Example: I saved a list called "Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket". I added songs to it and then when I went to save the list again with the new songs on it, i had to type out "Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" again. It would have been easier to see a list of previously saved playlists, tap the old one, and confirm that I wanted to overwrite it.
  • Allow the user to choose how much storage to designate for caching purposes. This will allow someone to basically cache an entire playlist at one time (maybe at home via Wifi), then play it back without having to redownload the entire list, saving bandwidth usage.
  • Allow user to change order of playlist possibly with a long tap followed by a drag.

The program opens up with the SIP keyboard showing, presumably to allow the search function immediately. I would request that it not place the cursor automatically in the search box because when I open the program, I usually open a playlist and don't use the search function every time. I know it's just one screen tap to hide the SIP but I don't think it's necessary to show it unless the user taps the search box.

I will add an option for it -> Autofocus Search or something similar

I see you are mentioning caching feature a few places..

My suggestion to the feature would be:

Choose amount of time or amount of MB to cache.

If you fx know you will be travelling for say 3 hours you could set cache for 3 hours let it download over WiFi and go out on the oh so expensive 3G net afterwards.

This is the only feature I need to start using this proggie as streaming on 3G is way to expensive in my area.

I might look at skinning this app if you do :p
