Yesterday, a friend called me: My computer does not start, only the cpu fan blows like hell, monitor kept off... (He just wanted to replace his mainboard battery first, but then...)
We checked the whole system and everything seemed to be ok and it booted once. But just once... I found out, just by chance, that if you press the CPU-Cooler to one side it runs. It seemed that it wasn't really fasten to the mainboard.
Then I took off the cooler, cleaned the old thermal paste(which wasn't fluid anymore...). I put new paste on the cpu, and put the cooler on top. We fixed it with four cable ties through the black plastic base and the green brackets.
Even it is very solid, it didn't run. Just the fan sounded like a starting jet.

I will post two shots later on, how it got fixed
