One thing I found particularly useful with my own Grooveshark Software is that I have my IDE set up to build seperate dll files, then I run a script afterwords using ILMerge to merge the dlls and exe file into one file. Makes for much easier redistribution, as I can simply have the application generate any config files in the same folder if they are missing, and furthermore pull them from a web-server to get the latest ones every time.
Example: http://www.fennyfatal.com/appz/WindowsG ... loader.exe
What are your thoughts?

I personally do not like merging the files, I release zip files that contain everything need(Includes auto creating the config). Using a Packer would block my users creaing their own private version of several of my tools using my apis. It even looks suspicious for the user :-/.
