I have ran into this problem before. After installing the full version of .Net 4, the problem went away for a few days. I was able to download a few songs, and I was overjoyed by the fact that download start to work. It reminded me of the Napster days
Unfortunately, the good thing did last long. While I was running the application this morning, the Downloader v4.0.9p crashed with the same error message, and the error message came up again when I reboot the computer and restart the problem
I have Window XP x86, SP3, .Net 4 and all the security updates.
The error message I had was:
EventType clr20r3, P1 scilors groovedownloader.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 4ec56973, P4 mscorlib, P5 4.0.0.0, P6 4e181ae3, P7 bb4, P8 11, P9 system.stackoverflowexception, P10 NIL.
I searched online and found someone who had the same error message. He was using Window 7, and the problem went away with his Window 7 sp1 update.
