Hi there, I think you should try to mess around with the RTMP protocol, if you ever get any interest. So far I haven't seen any program that takes care of RTMP very well... I only know of "Replay Media Catcher" and "HiDownload" as the only programs that download RTMP. But they also suck, and are buggy. There's also RTMPDump, which is better, but command-line only, and only accepts RTMP:// resource links. Many media sites use RTMP to deliver content. It would be nice to have a RTMP sniffer, much like an HTTP sniffer. It would also be nice to have download functionality with RTMP traffic log. MySpace.com also uses RTMP, but is not detected by the two programs I said before. The crappy Orbit Downloader is supposed to support RTMP, but is just broken and sucks.. Anyway, it's just an idea, it seems like something you would be interested in, and may have the ability to accomplish. |
